Intensive Russian Attacks Disrupt Power In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused power cuts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while residents in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and encountered interruptions to drinking water, as stated by local authorities.

Meanwhile, a young boy was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, according to area administrators.

Russian forces has intensified attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not window dressing but firm measures - from the America, Europe and the G7 - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing penalties," was stated in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 rockets struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were laboring to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes damaged electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people hurt in the assaults on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from city authorities.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region came under significant strikes overnight. A minor was killed and several individuals were hurt.

The attacks follow nights of bombing campaigns in the territory, sections of which are occupied by invading troops.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to detect.

Government officials told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
